Exactly. Not only that, it’s kind of a commentary on the human condition where he has the power of a god, so nobody expects him to want to be a simple person, hiding among us. Why would Superman want to be a normal guy, with a job? He’s Superman!

The other thing that’s commonly brought up is that most people in the DC universe assume that because he is one of the few superheros to not wear a mask at all, Superman is just Superman. That he doesn’t HAVE an alter-ego.

No Oy???? I’ve never been more devastated by a pet character.

I don’t know, lady wrestlers are often sexualized and we try not to do that with Annie

Mayans must have miscalculated the end of the world by 4 years cause 2016 sucks.

Also....knocked out by Black Adam.

Raise your hand if you read that character’s dialogue in Mr. Poopy Butthole’s voice.

Now playing

Does the room have Kevin Sorbo in it who shouts every time someone enters?

I for one am glad that the man in charge of the rebellion at the moment isn’t giving the Empire a straight answer.

I love a lot of runs, including Walt Simonson’s Thor, Denny O’Neil’s The Question, and Morrison’s Doom Patrol. But by far my favorite run, the one I will continue to go back to again and again and reread over and over is...well...

There are a lot of ideas here I could agree with (Moore’s Swamp Thing, Giffen/DeMatteis’s Justice League International, Levitz/Giffen’s Legion of Super-Heroes, Morrison’s Doom Patrol, David’s Young Justice, Claremont/Byrne’s X-Men, etc.). But I think my all-time favorite is one I haven’t seen mentioned: Grant

I do not know if it’s my favorite, but Peter Milligan’s run on Hellblazer was one I really liked.

THANK YOU!!! Nobody liked Iron Man until the movie. He was an alcoholic douche who would eventually do the right thing. It is a credit to Robert Downey Jr. That he made him likeable.

Nothing ruined Iron Man, he’s always been a villain.

It’s still an incredibly scary scene - decades later.

If it’s any consolation, I was 9 and it still freaked me out. The Exorcist didn’t, but that did.

Yeah, the window...man...that scared me.

re: Salem’s Lot, I, and probably thousands of others, were forever scarred by Danny Glick at the window, and “Look at me, Teacher”.
