I’ll take “The Penis Mightier” for $600.

Right? And “I didn’t want to be a zoophile. I was trying to do everything I could to avoid this animal”? How hard could it possibly be to avoid a fucking dolphin?! Just because an animal humps your leg does not mean it’s cool for you, a human, to have sex with it. That’s not how it works.
she was intellectually pretty much my equal.
Did you perchance read the article you just commented on?
Hahahaha.
More aware would be my guess.
Another thought is that this behavior is enabled by the ongoing militarization of the police post 9/11. I don’t remember the original source, but I recall reading about this and what struck me was (paraphrasing) “the main objective of the police is to serve and protect the public. The main objective of the military is…
Generally speaking. But in some cases it’s an issue of the SAHP’s job not covering the cost of childcare. Or calling it so close that it's not worth it.
The only reason the 3 year old stayed put is because they were acting as lookout for the other two.
That would mean diverting tax dollars away from dropping bombs on weddings and hospitals and towards caring for our own citizens! Where do you think we are? Europe? This is AMERICA, lady!
Seriously, we are all mother’s. It’s hard to SAH and it’s hard to work too. I’ve done both and right now a little inbetween. Mom’s should support each other, not hate on each other.
Even kindergarten where I live is part day— 8:10-11:20 or something. And at the district in the next little suburb over, there’s not even an aftercare option you can pay for. Once your kids are in public school, they completely assume you have one parent at home. At least where I live.
My best friend had twins - the child care costs in our county would have likely exceeded her take home pay. That isn’t even counting work costs like transportation & keeping up a work wardrobe.
Some people can’t afford to work. Daycare is $250 a week, got two kids so it’s $500 a week. Even if mom makes minimum wage, dad’s income pushes their combined wages above the cut off for child care assistance (which is barely above the poverty level). Mom has to make nearly $15/hour to simply pay for the childcare,…
My stay-at-home-mom-of-three friend texts me at least once a week that she is selling her kids to the circus. It’s a damn hard job.
I am in the wrong fucking business. Whoa. What does this daycare include? Caviar for lunch? Is the class pet a panda?
So between housing, food, and daycare, you’re essentially spending all your income at a time that you’re also supposed to be saving for retirement, college, a new car to replace the one that will break down eventually, etc.
It’s more of the whole Mommy Wars thing. SAHM, working mom, somewhere in between - it doesn’t matter, you’re still doing in wrong according to somebody.
Waiting for people to understand that being a stay at home parent in no way means that you’re living the cushy life.
We’ve done public day-care before, in World War 2. We should do it again, although we have to get it right - a bad day-care can be worse than no day-care at all.
