Didn’t people like it because the writing was good actually? Seems like having it developed by Gearbox defeats the purpose. Imagine playing through Borderlands 3 but without the shooting and looting and only the cutscenes.

I think Luke is referring to the obligation to defend copyright, not a moral stance. It’s an all or nothing gambit in the US. You either defend your copyright at all fronts or you allow projects without a license.

That savings never existed. I’m old enough to remember when the early move to digital involved promises that digital versions would provide savings ot the end user because they didn’t need to press discs. It’s just lies. Both PC games and Console were $50 in the PS2 era and $60 from 360 on.
