Lots of childhood ones but most of all, the one I remember the most and would probably be closest to real life desires: Elena Fisher from Uncharted.

Find it pretty funny how people are like “I was never interested in this, I’m glad it’s cancelled”. Like duh. But why would you be glad others didn’t get what they wanted if you didn’t care either way?

Eh, Factions was one of the best multiplayer games I have ever played, and it’s more than 10 years old. Just upgrade it to TLOU 2 engine with some refreshments, and it would be pretty damn great.

The funny thing about that observation, is that originally players didn’t want multiplayer in ME3. It felt tacked on, and many people felt that it was a super weird move, and strictly for money, back then.
It’s only after it was shown to actually be pretty good, that people warmed to it.

I mean, could they just remake the original game’s Factions MP with Last of Us Two’s modern gameplay and call it a day? A full live service game with years of planned content did seem too much, why not just give us a modern way to play the MP so many people found surprisingly good from back in the day?

Ugh, being a game developer sucks nowadays. When you’re not working 20 hour days, handcuffed to your computer to meet an impossible launch date, or watching fanboys call your game “shit” because the puddles in the final release look different than the puddles in the E3 trailer, or being ordered to change your single

I’m not a streamer or influencer, and i found it boring not after playing all day for several weeks, but after less than 10 hours. And i’m not even a peripheral person to Bethesda games: I was a massive consumer of their stuff up to Oblivion.

Because what the revenge/misery simulator that the TLoU2 needed was more misery.

I get why he agreed though. Even if there was zero legal basis for it, they could ruin his entire life with baseless lawsuits forever, and it would cost them basically nothing compared to what they bring in.

There are few things in this world more terrifying than a rich person with a grudge.

Something something Streissand effect. I wouldn’t know all of these anecdotes if Rockstar didn’t hide ‘em

I would just view this as a current gen upgrade like what was done with The Witcher III, Ghost of Tsushima, Cyberpunk, etc.  Not sure what’s confusing about that.  What I found confusing was why this wasn’t a PS5 launch title instead of just a PS4 game to begin with.

RoboCraft, which was a genuinely excellent game, died horribly because a handful of sociopaths with the sportsmanship of a piranha made it a misery. The developers failed miserably to implement obvious and simple measures to prevent sickening newb-farming and so new players could not be retained.

Paymoneywubby is pretty much the only streamer I can watch for more than 10 minutes (when he’s actually doing something and not just yapping).

TBH, 100% shocked the PS Portal is selling out at all. It’s not a very compelling product, and I say this as a guy who’s owned every Playstation and PSP/Vita.

The plant I work for just celebrated a record setting first half of a year.

This fucking sucks, it feels as it does not matter if its the best selling game of all time, they just want to spend as little money as possible.

I don’t see a single puddle so this must be a graphical downgrade.

That’s a really good drive, especially at that price.

It’s not clear yet whether Sweeney is taking any pay cuts as part of the latest cost-saving measures.

This is gonna be disastrous for the entire games industry. There is no way one of the biggest companies buying out another of the biggest companies will be a net positive, it’s going to quickly turn anti-competitive and anti-consumer. But because Microsoft knows exactly what to say and what small concessions to make,
