I had an abortion when I was in high school. Being pregnant and unable to keep water down was traumatic. Having an abusive boyfriend was traumatic. The fear of having to tell my mother was traumatic. No longer being pregnant was a fucking relief.
I hate when they describe it as a heartwrwnching decision. When I volunteered at PP the women were usually happy about their decisions and adamant they didn’t want a child at that time. Quite a few wanted sterilization but had difficulty finding a doctor who would do that.
As emotionally rolling it was beating myself up for getting pregnant in the first place, the decision to abort remains the single most responsible and well made decision I have ever made. If I hadn’t done it I’d be forever tied to an abusive felon who would’ve ruined my life and that of the baby we would’ve had. And…
Like all the other needless burdens imposed on women seeking abortion, wait times are punitive; they’re not actually based in supporting the free choice for motherhood.
I’ve been so disgusted by the infantalization of women these pro-choice bills represent. If they’re only shown a picture of their babies on ultrasound, or the sound of its heartbeat, they’re sure to change their weak and wavering minds! If we just make them wait a few days to think about it, they’re sure to recant…
This! I’m pretty sure most women start considering the decision every time a period is a few days late.
No fucking shit.
I feel like if any politician cites religion as influencing any decision in policy making they should immediately be disqualified to vote on or create said policies. Research and facts, science, let’s stick to that please.
...or locking them in the laundry room while you run out to the grocery store.
And no one puts you in jail for crate training puppies.
WTF? That first woman needs her head examined. Asking for gun control = asking to be robbed at gunpoint? No, just no. What the fuck is wrong with people!
I do believe the perps were interested in her jewellery - not looking to murder her clearly - cause if that was the intent, then it would have gone down.
Just because Kim has a tan doesn’t make her a woman of color.
Maybe she didn’t know what to dial? It’s not like 911 is the universal number to dial for emergency services. And Pascal is Kim K’s bodyguard. Simone might of either thought he was nearby enough to reach them faster or at least know where to call and what to do.
It’s about time! I was an EMT with my fire Department and we were taught 10 years ago not to use these. For one thing, bacteria become resistant to it. We were also taught not to use peroxide on cuts, regular soap and water work better.
Anti-microbials often advertise that they kill “99.99%” of the microbes.
Srs question @ dis : triclosan is also used in toothpaste......? Can the fda let me know if the stuff too dangerous to smear on my hands is safe in my mouth
Mom was a nurse. We learned the Surgical Scrub early.
This is not why they have been banned. They do plenty - the reason(s) for the ban in consumer products is that they are unnecessary and also harmful.
