I thought God was primarily concerned with touchdowns. Or is that Jesus? How does God (or Jesus?) feel about cricket or rugby?

I don’t know much about Bruno Mars - no my kind of thing - but yes, anyone who likes Kenny G has terrible taste in music. I feel that this is an objective fact. It’s elevator music. It’s the Nickelback of...I can’t even call it “jazz”, because “smooth jazz” is an abomination.

Pretty much anything that’s up for album of the year by The Grammy’s (not the hippest bunch in the world) is pop music. And yes, pop music - the stuff that is not just going for a “pop sound” but lab-formulated to hit the charts and make money - is all pre-fab, pre-packaged, etc. That’s why every album usually has a

You can’t teach that, you’re born with it.

Well - stealing’s pretty much the norm among musicians and in the music industry, and always has been.

Aha! You passed the first test!

See, here’s the thing: when Michael Sam came out before the draft a few years ago I read SO MANY Right Wingers saying he did it just to “get attention” or “get special treatment”.

He’s underselling it to protect his rotator cuffs.

Well, here’s the thing. Take any of them - any of the high draftpicks. These guys were never developed, really. Throw them to the lions with the impossible expectations of “franchise savior” and you see how that worked out.

Yes - but primarily ownership/management. Giving a coach 1.5-2 years to turn this horribly damaged franchise around isn’t a fair assessment.

Well, the absolute truth is not that “the Browns are the Browns”, it’s that we’ve been saddled with absolutely the shittiest ownership since returning in ‘99. The Lerner family and the idiot Jimmy “you’re going to draft Manziel” Haslam have both followed the golden rule of “fire everyone every two years, if not

Van Halen O’Leary?

I’m a Browns fan, and this whole offseason I’ve thought “What about trading for Tyrod?” - primarily because 1) he was good enough to get the Bills to the playoffs (even after that stupid benching) and 2) the Bills really don’t want him, as they’ve made clear.

Ugh. I’ve worked with shitheads like this. Years ago my department was getting a new director and one employee suggested making the dress code in our office more strict. Another complained about the office getting let go two hours early on xmas eve (which never happened again).

Hmmm...how is the Right Wing propaganda machine going to spin this into “political correctness” gone awry?

Oil be groaning about this one all day.

I’m gettin’ too old for this shit. And it IS shit.

Exactly! But the height thing (and HAND SIZE) gets over analyzed at this time every year. I can’t remember who was the “too short for the NFL” guy last year, but he was about the height of Baker Mayfield - who is I think just under 6'2".

Yeah - I understand that there is an entire cottage industry (a very big cottage, indeed) of commenting on the NFL and “evaluating talent”. But the fact is that the NFL really only gives legitimate shots to a few QBs each year. Most are arbitrarily branded as “career backups” because of where they’re drafted.

Facebook’s greatest (only?) worthwhile contribution to society has been allowing ignorant racists to gleefully out themselves to the world.
