I don’t think it needed to be presented as it was. What I took from it is that he’s just as awkward and gawky in real life as he appears, and was persistent in trying to get with this woman. She says she gave “very clear non-verbal signals” that she wasn’t interested, or something along those lines.
I agree. Interviews are useless and uninteresting to me if they feel canned at all. His response seems genuine, and not everyone or everything can be summed up neatly in a few words.

Smith and Cousins are both QBs who get very little respect from the public. They’re both consistent starters deserving long-term deals, but they’re never the sexy choice.

I don’t know that I’d call Cousins or Smith mediocre. QB money is crazy now, and both of them are solid, if not exactly sexy.
Right - when fans complain about their QB who gets them a winning record and/or playoff berths every season I never get it. Reid & the coaching staff certainly deserve the blame - Smith didn’t lose them that game.
I feel like this was primarily set up by the team/Snyder mishandling this completely. They probably could’ve signed him repeatedly for a pretty reasonable deal but waited and waited...for what? They ended up paying him big money for two years and got nothing out of it.
