All of this does explain why CBS’s line up sucked so badly for the last 20 years. I watched a couple seasons of CSI, but other than that, I cannot think of a single show that I have watched on that network since the turn of the century.

I lived in the Oranges of NJ in the 80's and all these folks with their saintly view of Whitney Houston need to quit it. There will never be another woman like Aretha Franklin. I swear I am so very that grateful my husband and me saw her perform live. Opera, gospel, soul, you name it, and Aretha would deliver. 

I absolutely loved her rendition of Nessun Dorma. I just found out she learned to sing it in Pavarotti’s key in about 45 minutes.
