In all honesty, I’m with you. Super is fine, but there are so many nifty additions the later games have brought that I cannot go back to it.

I’m guessing they already did the math and knew that no matter what they did or say, shit will hit the fan and that they will get the sales anyway, so people hitting keyboards furiously about the issue don’t really affect them. 

Well, down the line we got a strong female protagonist in Kassandra and even some choice of same sex romance (even if not entirely “canon”) so I guess calling them on their bullshit kinda worked.
