They are not fans of adding unsprung mass unless forced to by the government or the marketing department. They’re happy to charge you extra for the colored ones though. Mine are the standard silver and black ones but the colored ones are so common that most people don’t even know they’re an option.

As someone who is a big fan of weird symmetry, I heartily approve of this neuroticism.

So lemme get this straight, they’re so detail oriented that they align Center caps a specific way (which I’m actually ok with because veee musht hav ORDAH!) but not so much that they won’t call a car with neither forced induction NOR and internal combustion engine, a “Turbo?” GTFOH

I mean, sure you could do that. Or you could build a much bigger reactor, stick it in a concrete dome, and use to to charge a battery powered car.

It’s so depressing to me to read about the optimism we had about atomic energy in the 1950s and find myself in 2019 getting power from friggin’ coal while countries talk about decommissioning the few reactors they actually have.

12-16 years from now, someone in an automotive color department is going to have one of those burnt-orange/bronze colors they’re trying to name, and they’ll have a chuckle as they call it “Presidential Orange”, as they slide it past the rest of the team.
