996 Carrera with IMS already done. Not turbo, but 3.6L flat six with 320hp has plenty of power, RWD so tons of fun. Fast, good looking, and most importantly it’s a Porsche 911, so it’s amazing. Nice examples can be found in the high teens and low $20k range. Don’t let the headlights put you off, the driving experience

about 10k + labor for BBI autosports suspension upgrades. Or whatever a set of racing slicks cost. until you are going 160+ the aero differences are likely negligible.

Once you jump to the S the brakes are the same all the way up unless you have PCCB. The only difference is the S calipers are silver vs Red on the turbo/GTS.

Haven’t taken ours offroad (14 S on 21" turbo wheels), but I have played with the offroad settings and it would crawl pretty well. Probably nothing too extreme but I would expect it to outperform it’s direct competitors and maybe keep up with a G-wagon.

The cayenne has low range gears, locking diffs and height adjustable suspension as well. It’s also available with offroad skid plates and I have seen them jumping dunes in the SoCal Deserts.

I know it’s automatic, but the 6.2L V8 more than makes up for that with raw brute power. Miles are kinda high but I have found mine to be bulletproof with almost 80k miles on the clock now. Large displacement high revving V8s are a thing of the past, so get in on these future classics while they are cheap. 2008-10s

Thats a really good looking coupe! Do it!

Coming out of the M3, you will be completely blown away by the power and torque. I don’t believe it is too dangerous of a car *if* you leave the traction control on. It will bite like a 70s 911 turbo if the esp is off though.

Correct. You can run a 275/35-r18 on the factory rear wheels, and a 245/40-r18 on the factory fronts without issue. We do this with pilot super sports, and its the best thing we did to the car.

We have the Vorsteiner carbon diffuser, and the revozport F1 safety car bumper with all the carbon + LEDs. Best thing we did for the exterior. Although carbon lips seem to attract parking blocks, curbs, and any driveway that isn’t perfectly flat.

I honestly don’t find the maintenance unreasonable at all. If you are all handy, oil changes and all the regular scheduled maintenance are easy to do in your garage. I did the spark plugs and it cost me $60 for the plugs and an hour of my time. Oil is the same case. Brakes can be super expensive or very reasonable

You could take out some of the negative camber, but you would sacrifice performance. you could also run a harder compound tire. For what its worth, we were able to fit a 275 michelin PSS out there, and it was the best thing we did for the car. They run about $240/tire + install for the rears at Discount tire.

head bolt issue is a non issue on mid 2010 and up cars.

driving on the freeway with a very light foot can get you 20mpg on a really long drive. I average 10mpg in traffic. call it an overall average of 15mpg if your nice to it. It obviously goes down a lot when you drive it hard (you will...).

We do not. Its really a case of an aggressive rear alignment + tires too narrow for the power + Performance tires (soft compound wear faster) so it wears them out quickly. We get 12-15k out of the fronts though which is nice.

We have ~80k miles on ours and have had 0 issues. Budget for a lot of gas, and replacing the rear tires every 6-8k miles (fronts typically 12-15k). Other than that and brake pads at 30k, and pads+rotors at 60k there have been no major expenses or problems. We love it, best car ever.

we just took delivery of a 2017 F250 power stroke. It will be used to occasionally tow a horse trailer and haul occasionally. the majority of the time it will be used to go to the beach or grocery store instead of using one of the other cars. Because new toy.

The red sport is deceptively bad. It doesn’t feel like 400hp, it’s sloppy in corners, lacks appropriate brakes for said 400hp. For the price the C43 AMG is 100x better. I went into the test drive wanting to love the infiniti, because it comes with a lot of really great equipment (radar cruise control, etc) but it
