NP! Its a 99 Boxster. Remove all the worn stuff and build a track car or even better a spec boxster out of it and go racing. You would be hard pressed to find a cheaper boxster to start with. Gut the interior - free (or however you value your time). Roll cage - $3500. 2 Race seats, brackets and harnesses: $3000. Total

Except all the people who think it is acceptable to merge at 35mph...  This is a HUGE issue with traffic going 65-85mph, imagine if everyone is now going 90-110mph.  I’m all for significant increases in freeway speed limits, but lots of things need to change to make it safe.

I sold my 03 (996.2) manual Carrera cab with 93k miles for about this price last year.  The 02+ cars have the better looking turbo headlights and are generally worth a bit more.  Mine had the same maintenance items done and then some (GT3 Lower control arms, Motorsports AOS, second set of wheels with fresh tires, etc

I think they would know a turbo (wing, huge fender vents, very wide fenders etc). You might be on to something with say a Carrera s and Carrera 4s.

This, or if you must have a cool fun car, get something cheaper like a first gen C63, porsche cayman or 997.  Tie up 30-40k instead of 130k.

The answer is 991.1 GT3. around $130k all day long, sounds awesome, easy to drive, and makes an amazing noise! Bonus, they wont depreciate much if at all, so your really just tying some money up, instead of spending a bunch of money. Other generations are great as well if you are dead set on the manual, but the

Atmospheric conditions are huge. I was at a champcar event at Laguna Seca and the Focus SVT we were running blew sound (90db limit, we blew 95db) due to cold weather + fog the second day, but we were fine the day before when it was warm and sunny.

Porsche 944/968, E36 M3, Mercedes E55 amg, porsche 996. BMW 135i

this car will be sold through PMNA, and there won’t be options. Price likely includes the spares package as well, so it will be that + some taxes.

It will get wedged into the top GTP class for club racing, and CC16 for time trial stuff (the unlimited class), so you will have competitors in PCA (I’m a PCA member, our 997 cup is CC16). I would personally buy a GT3R, but the guys that can afford to buy and run the GT3R are in a place where they likely just buy both

some subtle differences, but that is the general gist here. Should be stupid fast at the track. its also worth noting that it is about the same price as a GT3R.

GT3=no back seats. Get a Carrera T or GTS if you need backseats. Also remember that carbon buckets (should be mandatory on GT3 and Carrera T) = no back seats because they are fixed back.

There’s no good reason not to spec CCBs on a 991. They are just as cheap if not cheaper than steel brakes on track these days since they last so long, and they are noticeably lighter which you will feel. Not to mention you get pretty much all of it back on resale.  https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-gt3rs-and-911r/867

Because the standard seats do not hold you well at all in corners, and because you bought a GT3, which is the lightweight “racing” street car of 911s. If you want the “sofas” then buy a turbo.

These cars are actually pretty bulletproof. About to cross 100k miles on my 2010 and it feels, looks and drives brand new. These motors were designed for WAY more power than they are making (think 1000hp without being upgraded internally). Aside from the high consumables (rear tires every 6k miles, fronts every 12k,

aside from 1 allocation I know of in SoCal, 2RS new allocations are still 150-200 over as well.

A used 991 GT3 is 100% a better buy than a Carrera T, because it won’t really depreciate. 14s are pretty bottomed out in my opinion around $130k. So in reality despite a higher purchase price, it is likely a “cheaper” car to own than a new Carrera T.  More food for thought

Go drive both and see which one resonates with you more. We have a 991.1 GT3 that has the buckets, rws etc and they are really cool options. But Im not sure if they are worth 2x the price to get a Carrera T over a used C2S. Ultimately you can buy the seats used for like $15k if you really want them. Go drive a C2s and

depends if you want your 911 to have a fantastic N/A motor or a pair of turbos. The NA cars are fast and offer a great experience and sound awesome. The new turbo cars are significantly faster, but you lose the character and charm of the NA motor.
