The only car that truly needs nothing (modification wise) in my opinion. I will always have a soft spot for the Carrera GT and hope to own one someday soon. The only thing that makes these better is straight pipes! Best sounding, and best looking exotic car around IMO. Do you think the market value will get out of…
It includes DAP now though, so really you are getting some stuff that is worth optioning on 16s anyways.
Nice! I love the idea of truck, but I already have one gas guzzler as a toy (w204 C63), and don’t need another as my daily driver. The Golf R would be perfect if I could actually get an allocation. I didnt know rangers were so undervalued right now. Have you considered other small SUVs like the tiguan?
Im with you on this one. My car is like 90% paid off, but I want to see it gone sooner than later. As for whats next, unless VW will give me a very compelling reason to get another VW (discounted Golf R or guaranteed R allocation?) then it will not be another VW. Kind of a shame because I loved my TDI, and my gf loves…
I pay ~$2.75/gallon for 91 octane in Downtown LA. One station by my office charges $5/gallon. I never thought I would regret owning a C63 until I moved to LA from San Diego, and gained a traffic filled commute.
Heres an idea: take that Superleggera and add turbos! v10+turbo noises = perfection. A TT Gallardo is possibly the most fun you can have with your pants on.
675 spiders are all sold. There is one available used for ~800k.
Of all the awful wheel designs from this time period, I actually do not mind this one at all. It manages to minimize the bulkiness of the airbag, and I think even looks better than many of the steering wheels coming out now (I'm looking at you BMW!).
My tuned C63 has the perfect amount of power for the street at 530hp. It is more than fast enough to get out of its own way and get me into trouble, but not so much that you can't enjoy it on an on ramp. I have been privileged to ride in some extremely fast cars (think alpha 12 GTR, UGR stage 2R gallardo), and they…
MK6 Golf R. $25k, many available with stage 2 (360hp on 91!).
Ive spent a ton of time with the 996. It is a fantastic car, and the maintenance is actually not nearly as bad as you would expect.
This went a completely different direction than I personally will be going. I own a Golf TDI. The options for its replacement as of now are: 2007ish Porsche Cayman S, 996 turbo, MK6 Golf R, MK7 GTI autobahn+pp. Leaning on the cayman.
The dealers are all off their rockers on trade value right now. I don't even really want to get rid of the car unless it was a very compelling deal, or a large upgrade (golf R).
Sign me up on this plan too. Already tried to trade my 12 golf TDI on a 15 R white DSG/DCC/NAV. They offered me far below market trade in value for the TDI because “We aren’t allowed to sell it”. I expect a white fully loaded R to be waiting when they buy the car back for full price.
That would be hell bug. As far as I know its 1 of 1. He is associated with tillys, so they may have shipped the car over there to visit factories or something.
I tried to get a deal on a Golf R and trade my TDI. They were not willing to give fair value for the TDI, or discount the R. The lack of discount on the R isn’t surprising since they have no problem selling them. They wouldn’t give even market value for the TDI because “we aren’t allowed to sell it” which is bullsh*t…
Thanks for pointing out my typo, clearly shouldn't jalop from my iPhone, yay autocorrect.
The price differential also includes the ceramic breaks, and all the other performance options. It would cost more than 12k to option them on a turbo, so the Turbo S is actually a good deal. Very rare in porsche land.
The foam for the seat is actually to make the seats fit better. Seats on the karts in arrive and drive type set ups are all the largest size available, so are often to large. As a small guy, I have a seat insert so I don't move around in the seat. When I had my own kart, my seat was fitted to me, so there was no need…
