I loved the original GBA release of KH:CoM, one of my most played games on the system second only to FF Tactics Advance. I used to beat the game repeatedly just to listen to the credits and watch the secret ending. Tried out the PS2 release but didn’t get past an hour, sadly. I guess some of the charm of the original…
The Lifewit bag is pretty great! (though mine wasn’t branded as Lifewit)
The pic with Miu was awesome lol great cosplay!!
Danganronpa V3 was my surprise of the year! Well, the whole series in particular, more like. I absolutely HATED the anime adaptation of the first game so I passed on the games for years. Danganronpa 1 and 2 ended up going on sale for around $7 each on PSN and I picked them up...and finished them in a sitting each.…
This is a thing that happens to me; having access to guides and reading about all the cool stuff people are doing makes me feel like I’m playing the game badly. I found that it helps to play it with someone since making it a social experience helps a lot in making small mistakes acceptable. Also, trying to “role play”…
Shouldn’t feel pressured to like it! To be honest I’d also probably enjoy playing WipEout more :)) Don’t really feel the need to come back to it now that I’ve finished it but it really is pretty much perfect in accomplishing what it set out to do!
I actually just finished Thumper (after 12 grueling hours). It’s less of a rhythm game to me and more of an arcade-y action game like Hotline Miami. The game might seem like it’s throwing some unfair bullshit on you but it’s usually been taught in pieces in the preceding stages. You can get by by just barely finishing…
Absolutely loved Steins;Gate 0 though I wasn’t really too fond of some of the things they went with for Kagari and Yuki. I was kinda hoping this’d be a more subdued and grounded story but I’m pretty happy with what we got anyway. Maho was great and of course, Amadeus Kurisu too.
I love Unison Square Garden and I quite liked Mahoutsukai’s OP but I have to say my fave OPs of this year are Houseki no Kuni’s and Juuni Taisen’s.
I should finish Sakura Quest >w< Anime about working people are some of my favorites! Loved Shirobako and Servant x Service. Recovery of an MMO Junkie also had me hooked because of this (combined with the fact that it deals with online communities).
I thought TLJ was great! Stuff I’ve been enjoying this year all seem to be trying to have an earnest and non-vindictive discussion with its audience, from Nier and Danganronpa V3 to The Last Jedi.
I REMEMBER THE TAY BOTS!!!!!!
I think it’s the fact that I like holding the system on a single side sometimes and I feel like it puts too much stress on the connection between the JoyCon and the system? I’ve put in a bit more time in handheld mode and it does get a bit more comfortable with time; just not really a big fan of the right stick…
3. WHERE’S MY GOTDAMN ANIMAL CROSSING SWITCH VER.
Great read! I’ve only had my Switch for a few days and I currently only have Splatoon 2 but I’ve been enjoying it. Weirdly enough, the things I thought I would enjoy and those I thought I wouldn’t were switched.
A HAT IN TIME 2 CONFIRMED RUNNING ON UE4!? OR *gasp* A HAT IN TIME CROSSOVER WITH BUGS BUNNY: LOST IN TIME!?
Dem fancy gamedevs with their goshdarn Unreal and custom engines *trashes around the place, crying* It’s pretty good, I’m enjoying C# a lot. I wanted to go with Godot because the project is really light and I wanted to explore a new game engine (and possibly contribute to an open source project!) but the amount of…
I heard about the mods! I usually get games for consoles because it’s just a more natural environment for me to play...but I might get it on both PS4 and PC for mod support 👀
Habbol!!! Feels like forever since I last chanced upon you here on TAY. MASSIVELY EXCITED FOR A HAT IN TIME!!!
I follow a few old TAY people on Twitter but I do miss hanging around the forums! I always want to go back to TAY to write a devblog or just write about anime again (or about the latest bullshit KFC is up to) but life’s been hard haha
