mclaren has the best steering feel of ANY brand out there. i have probably driven more diverse hypercars or supercars than most journalists, and I can tell you, there is nothing quite like their half electric half conventional steering feel. 

the GLS has no reached lincoln navigator levels of gaudy, in an attempt to emulate luxury. this is hilariously bad.. lipstick on a pig as they say.

you are correct.. with internet=enabled car knowledge and commentary at an all time high, inauthentic marketing dept-driven products like this can get a bad rap quickly.
