I didn't even notice the grade. What is Josh thinking? I'd flip the grades of this episode and the last one. That was more of a B-ish from me, this is atleast an A- if not an all out A

I thought it was a satisfying conclusion to one of the best seasons TV ever. Hope for S3. Come on HBO

I know the meme around The Leftovers (and I suppose Lindelof in general) is that they don't answer any questions. It is worth noting that pretty much every question that I can think of, that was raised this season has been answered

I think that's a false dichotomy. Certainly 24 episodes seasons are hard without a drop in quality but I think 12-16 is perfectly manageable without a drop in quality and perhaps even helping with the quality.

Yea… even Game Of Thrones can't get an extra episode or two. I think 12-16 is the perfect length for a season for most shows. The days of 26 episode seasons were bad but seems like we have gone too far in the other direction now

I seriously don't understand what Tommy's problem is. Can someone explain to me what his "pain" is? He's the only character on the show that's problematic to me. I think it's because the show never took the time to show us what makes Tommy tick, the way it has done with Kevin, Nora, Jill, Patty, Matt. It makes it hard

Tommy doesn't see mlike the kind of guy who would, for a moment, even have a fleeting thought he was raped. Lindelof called it a non-consensual assault or something like that in an interview.

Btw fuck Evie. What a selfish bitch. John may not be the greatest but he doesn't deserve that. Not to mention her mother and brother, what a selfish piece of work.

I chose to interpret as Matt not telling the whole truth to Liv Tyler. Surely if he wants to get back in he can, even if there are no electronic records other than those wristbands he can always get someone from his church's congregation to sponsor him back in.

>> and how was the car's door locked from the inside with the key in the ignition (music was playing, headlights on)

Liv Tyler gave me serious Joker vibes this episode. Makes one yearn for the days when Patty was leader of the GR

Rufus Sewell is amazing. When I saw his character in the pilot I groaned and cringed at how mustache-twirlingly evil his character was but I am glad to be proven wrong

The bald guy (Heydrich?) seems to have the most authentic German accent as far as my ears can tell.

In the Tommie/Laurie episode there was a newscast about a guy is Australia who came back from the dead and claimed he could never die. Anyone think that Aussie on the bridge is supposed to be that guy?

Art doesn't have to have a "reason" to justify its existance

Leftovers figuratively bent over the rest of television and proceeded to fuck it in the ass. Pardon my crass language. This is next level shit my friends. Anyone can do a psychedelic dream like episode, what made this episode stand out about this was how on-point that shit was, the dream logic of the great beyond

Ignore this dude, last season this guy was mercilessly attacking the recapper and his trollish behaviour likely had a lot in her not returning this season

I hope we get a Leftovers spinoff. An anthology series chronicling the stories of the colorful set of characters in the camps outside of Jarden.

Yep. Laurie explained the propensity of folks to believe look for a magical solution to their problems in the world of the Leftovers. Provided a rational theory of his condition and a supernatural one. Kevin already had his mind set on the supernatural version and at that point was just looking for excuses to justify

That Milan character is so unnecessary, the show doesn't need that element. It reminds me of that movie 'Sunshine' where in that perfectly good movie they chose to introduce an unnecessary and distracting element.
