Are gifts cheaper earlier in December than they are immediately after Christmas? I've always wondered this because I can never figure out when to buy and all my friends and family are totally fine and even anticipate Christmas gifts to come after Christmas. I never know when the sweet spot for prices are.

That what was in my mind when thinking about his decision. He just seemed so far back from any sort of line by comparison. But that's probably not a great starting point to begin with. So the decision now feels a lot more logical in addition to ethical.

That makes sense. It is valid but I still feel like it was possible to navigate that in an honest and objective way. But I'm not him and his ethical framework is sound either way.

And I do have misgivings about the Big Two snapping up so many of their biggest and loudest critics.

I feel like it should be okay with it as long as they're not plugging their publisher or themselves.

I'm sorry to see him leave the arena of comic criticism. While I just couldn't get with his lopsided criticism toward DC I enjoyed his genuine insight into the black perspective on comics. It was the main draw of Kotaku for me if I'm being honest.

Basketball superstar Scottie Pippen. Pippen is always just in the right place at the right time. Not just to set up a stellar play on the court in the 90s but to never get involved in the cape comic rigmarole that comes with living in Gotham.

Enough Space hit a delay but things should be moving forward again this week. It's not big deal. Printer noticed something odd and we decided to double check everything rather than carry on with a massive mistake.

I deal with the smell pretty easily myself. But I also just really love cats. I love our dog too. But I could never be the kind of person who settles into a "one animal rules them all" mindset. So we're gonna get the cats too.

For whatever reason I've never given much thought to TLK, but the more I hear about it the more it sounds like I'd enjoy it way more than the film. Glad to hear you loved it.

We met a couple of cats that we like a lot but I'm not sure we'll be able to adopt them. Which is a real shame.

A friend loaned me their laptop indefinitely. So that really helps me out a lot. Got recruited into that light rail program. Going to get a free transit pass. Gonna use the heck out of that.

Yeah. The job itself involves almost no work that requires a CDL but in order to qualify for the job you need a CDL. Apparently it's a union thing.

Got a lot of animator and comics friends myself. There's a lot of crossover there. Don't get me wrong. It just seems that CalArts folks have less comic related distinctions than the other schools.
