Being a full time writer would be great. The work is still hard and the pay is uneven for most, but it just feels like a more rewarding and enjoyable occupation than basically anything else I have in front of me.

I use Celtx's screenplay function to write out the scripts. I like it a whole lot better than their comic book function.

I think NYC and SF are fairly easy to disguise. They get transformed all the time and people are willing to accept analogues with fairly no trouble. DC seems impossible though as does New Orleans. One's a place that if highly fictionalized tends to destroy almost any verisimilitude if the setting is supposed to be the

Going to use the preferential voting method here.

Sells a lot better in trade AND her fanbase is a loud online presence AND its detractors are an even louder online presence.

I rarely comment on anything I read either. So I get it. I was just surprised by the sheer amount of people who apparently read the comic. It's not a huge number, but it's probably 10x more than I expected.

Seconding that sympathy upvote. I've been through something similar and it never feels good. Here's hoping something else turns up soon.

Prose fiction isn't really my bag for whatever reason The market is a lot stronger for prose though. And it's something I'd be able to do on my own and mostly for free unlike comics. I just wish I could actually muster interest in it. Or even a real desire to commit to it.

Good luck with the exit physical.

Hope you have a great time!

Hope you're able to have a relaxing weekend at the very least.

That icky feeling is hard to get past, but I've been told it's very much worth it.

My friend was just talking about how Korn doesn't get enough credit for its contributions to the musical zeitgeist of the 90s and how weird it is that they're barely mentioned even in 90s retrospectives. I found that interesting because they kinda have disappeared from mainstream conversation. I only remember the

I've actually read a fair amount of comics since last reporting in on one of these threads. But I kept forgetting to chime in.

Only 5 more days til the move and I haven't even bought tickets yet. I'm still trying to sort out my living situation in Minneapolis. I don't have a ton of money and have no new leads on jobs either.

I had no idea he felt that way.

That may be true but I'm still not really into them like everyone else seems to be. I think there are a few great costumes I really love and then everything else I can take or leave. So like I never got too upset about the black leather uniforms in the X-Men franchise because I never really cared about their costumes

I'm one of those weirdos who actually loves street-clothes attire for superheroes. It's not that I can't appreciate a lot of the more fantastical and ridiculous superhero costumes. But for the most part I've never gotten as attached to superhero gear as most people seem to.

Can't make it, but a couple friends are going. I hope you have a great time!

Fine. Superhero and superhero-adjacent films.
