I tend to think so, if even freaking Scott Discik was having women sign NDAs!

The “funny” thing is, it costs these companies more in the long run when they have higher turnover due to women and POC leaving jobs due to unequal/unfair pay. Businesses will continue to not get it and expect loyalty from the same people they continually screw over.
Finally, someone said it!!
Wow, that is so fucked up ... I had no idea. Wonder if anyone will mention that in future articles about him?
It’s pretty funny to think the generation that graduated into a tanked economy and are still suffering from wage stagnation, will be the ones to support the generation that was the best-off financially. My parents are boomers and they are way better off than I’ll ever be. It has nothing to do with their career choice,…
Yeah, and for people who want to work, going into these low-level service jobs isn’t going to cut it. It makes more sense to be unemployed than spend money on transportation to work for $8 an hour.
I never knew they did that to books! That’s infuriating. I can’t bear to throw out old, yellowed books - I take the covers off, but recycle them. And I can see why Sephora has that policy - I wouldn’t want to get a product someone else used on their face - but it is incredibly wasteful. I guess marking down those…
Did they give a reason for the policy change?
Oh, Trump is a Gemini ... that explains a lot.
I understand what you’re getting at, but in the case of Harvey Weinstein, he wasn’t moderating debates or interviewing the candidates. A powerful person, sure, and absolutely a horrible person, but I’m really not sure how much Clinton should be blamed for him. She also donated the money she received from him, once…
Clinton DID talk policy, but everyone (including journalists) conveniently ignored that. Many political TV ads are based on “not being that guy.” You see that in any number of political runs, so it’s irrelevant. It’s funny how white men are considered the norm and so they’re just, like, naturally unbiased but the rest…
Maybe you’re tired of it, but it’s worth discussing just who is shaping these narratives. Academia, journalism, politics, etc don’t just happen to be dominated by white men because they’re the most talented and smart. A lot of people couldn’t be bothered to examine their news sources, so I don’t mind if there’s more…
Yep. I’m still hearing how “if only the Democrats ran a more viable candidate”, we wouldn’t have Trump. HRC is still being blamed for every-fucking-thing! This from both a Republican and Bernie supporter.
Wow, that’s some skill right there, combined with the trick of hiding things in plain sight...
But isn’t the first proposal already a requirement? They’re trying to look like maybe they’re doing something, but they’re not. If the Texan church shooter’s violent record had actually been entered into the database by the military, he wouldn’t have been able to buy a gun. Both proposals seem like for show.
They didn’t check his other armpit, or they allowed one salami but not two?
The salespeople at VS are the worst. I had one look at the bra I was holding and pointedly tell me I’m not that size. Maybe she thought I’d ask to be fitted, but I was so embarrassed, I left and never went back. Nordstrom’s saleswomen are on a whole other level. I, too, like the Chantelle brand, and also have success…
Umm re: Love’s Advent video - I’m bi & love lingerie, but that video is so cringeworthy. The faux-empowerment, techno voiceover, combined with the objectifying male gaze, makes me wanna barf.
Please tell me you’re joking...
Ugh, that’s gross. I wonder if AirBnbs are more likely than hotels to have hidden cameras? And then there’s that Gay Talese article from last year ...
