Japan is in a class by itself when it comes to unnecessary packaging. It has something to do with the presentation-oriented culture. Looks are everything here, especially in Tokyo.
Well this certainly isn't true. Japan has a recycling initiative, but it is very small due to budget and resource limits. It only covers certain materials like glass, metals, and PET bottles. Japan also recycles large quantities of paper but only when you bundle it properly for pickup.
I am in no way whatsoever "turned on" by heels. I intentionally go for women who wear flat shoes all the time. To me, it's an indication of basic sense.
