I totally agree. ETA: Why did Kinja eat the rest of my post? Her lines, "you shouldn't make promises you can't keep," and "I can take care of myself; I think I've proven that," are digs at Jamie, and they hit their mark.

This is awesome. Thanks for linking to Terry Dresbach's blog! Really fascinating stuff.

I hear ya! Glad to hear you've achieved that level of success/leadership. Managing a team can be taxing to an introvert, but it sounds like you recognize how it affects you and how to deal.

I don't necessarily agree that it's a state of mind. I don't think an introvert can sustainably make themselves an extrovert, or vice versa. It's all about how you gain and expend energy.

I've read Quiet, but not The Highly Sensitive Person. Now I think I will!

This was a big premise of the book Quiet mentioned in the article. It was wonderfully refreshing.

That's another great point; I definitely use it when it is not needed. For example, if I'm standing in line at a coffee shop and someone needs me to move, I might say "sorry!" even though there's no way I could have known I was in their way until they said something...

This struck a chord with me because of a situation that happened last year. I was in a weeklong course through work, and we split into teams to work on a project. At one point, I was discussing (sort of arguing) with another teammate, and at one point she just disengaged completely. I immediately felt terrible for

Crater Lake NP is awesome. Beautiful, and (relatively) local.

Ok, Denver peeps, who do we need to talk to / cajole / throw money at to make this happen in the Mile High City??

Now playing

That, or you just want to let it ring so you can listen. :)

Agree on all points.

I absolutely love that piece of music. It's my ringtone, and my alarm... Ever since Doctor Who at the Proms I've been obsessed with Murray Gold's music. Vale Decem is another great one - when the horns rise up towards the end, I get chills.

My brain can't decide if they are cute or creepy! They're cute if I think of them as little dancing humanoid creatures...creepy when I remember that it's the underside of a sea creature.

Same here! I'm allergic to cats but love them both. As for the video...I kept laughing harder and harder as it went on!

Agreed! I like Thomas Brodie-Sangster (whose name I didn't really know until now) - doesn't he look like he could be our Little Grandfather?

That's right, they are not. There was speculation that Jojen and Meera wouldn't be in the show at all - thank goodness it's not true!

I think she actually says Thorns, but her accent and almost near-lisp makes it sound like Swords.
