Fuck the Democratic Party for not actually developing a bench. We were choosing between a flawed candidate (at least in terms of public perception — which is all that matters) and a 75 year old guy who mostly identified as socialist.

For the life of me I’ll never understand why the democrats cleared the decks to anoint a candidate who had already failed miserably in 2008 and who revealed herself to be isolated and utterly out of touch with the electorate.

This is, by far, a better morning after take than the ones over on The Slot that, so far, are only blaming Gary Johnson, Jill Stein, and their voters.

I feel like in the discussions of Trump’s misogyny there hasn’t been enough discussion about his consistent disgust at the effects of pregnancy on the body. I remember him saying Melania’s breasts were monsters. This is in addition to that lawyer who he called disgusting when she needed to take a breast pump break and…

Melania is aging out, and Trump has said he doesn’t get sexually excited by women who have had children. (He told Ivana that when dumping her for his mistress, who became wife #2.) I’d be surprised if this young woman is the only one.
