I’m not sure if there is really a way to get it fixed correctly. I’ve been to it several times, and I’ve seen rust painted over, only to bubble again and get re-painted.... sometimes seeing several decades of layers of paint on top of each other.

I agree... if there are any tweaks on the frame it’ll very hard if not impossible to recertify... but hey!, you walked away and that is all that counts.

There’s a big market for aviation chutes... I even saw some testing for small helicopters and gyroplanes... all retrofits.
