Really liked this episode - the It's a Wonderful Life reading was hilarious. I wish they'd give Lana something to do already. I can't believe they sort of shuffled her off to prison without much explanation - it's a continuing lame treatment of an otherwise stellar character.
But you get "bonuses" and such if you convince people to sign up for cards. I had card quotas at my sales job - it's not necessarily something I enjoyed doing, but it was a required part of the job.
It was in my school - both genders did home ec (sewing and cooking), and "technology" (one semester studying actual technology, one semester shop).
Yep! I was enticed by the offer of a free Subway sandwich. Luckily I never used the card.
Unluckily, my financial father informed me I couldn't cancel the card, because it would affect my credit score. So I had to keep this inactive card for five years until the company took the hint.
I'm comforted reading this whole thread.
It's an interesting choice, announcing up front that the battle ended the same way. Claire seems so devastated by the news that she must have thought it would be different somehow. So we, the viewers, now get to watch a failed attempt? That's…interesting, in a good way.
Yes - I liked the little French adjustment to the title song :)
That's assuming a lot for the pilot episode. I'd argue it's a truce, and it offers breathing space to work through lingering negative emotions.
And in this episode, she once again dismisses Jaime's rather forceful "No, we have to leave now!" which I liked - it was a good line reading, with the fear and exasperation.
That's well put. There is something about Claire that grates, even as I cheer for her because she's a tough woman. I think you've touched on an important character flaw. I can't decide if I like the honesty of it or not.
That was the saddest backslide.
Well she won't get help - her psychiatrist one-upped her and wrote a book. So she's truly stuck.
Oh man, baby doll tees - baby dolls are rectangular. They're not curvy. Those are "Barbie doll tees" but no one wants to admit that's the look they're going for. Baby doll tees - that phrase still makes me shake my head in wonder.
Cringeworthy, awesome episode tonight! I knew the writers would never let Abbi keep a lie from Illana for more than one episode, but I was sad that the fallout was Trey hearing Abbi call him a joke. He's overly sincere, but that sincerity is also endearing (and he saved Illana's mom! I mean, that's important!) and I…
Found them. They're almost $300 - now I don't like Marnie as much lol
Wow, that's a sexist brand!
It's true. I've put back clothes that fit me because they didn't fit me like they fit the models. As I'm overweight, that happens a lot. You look at yourself and see that you don't carry the outfit the same way, and it hurts more than it should.
Sounds to me like you got a "woman's cut" shirt. A simple unisex shirt is boxy in cut, but the women's cut shirts taper in the waist, have higher armpits, and are made to show off curves.
Oh yes, this bugs me to no end. I range up to four sizes, depending on where I shop.
