On a slightly lighter note, the props department deserves real kudos this episode. The deer statue, the battle board pieces, Dany's necklace - they were particularly eye-catching. Well done!

Well, I wouldn't want to disappoint Mr. Lyle ;)
I had that same gut "NO" reaction when Victor and Clare were discussing whether Lily had the right to choose. Because Clare didn't seem convinced that he meant it, and Victor was clearly angling for himself.
Evelyn: So what do you do for a living?
Sir Malcolm: I hunt vampires!
Evelyn: With wooden stakes?
Sir Malcolm: Or my leg, in a pinch! Yuk yuk yuk!
As much as I like Lily, I really don't want her to remain among the living. When she realizes what's going on - and I believe she will the more she goes out into the world - it's going to be even worse for everyone.
I like that she was wearing practical leather pants under her white dress. Just in case.
Really, it's just Hecate. The other two seem content to stand around, looking pretty and/or hissing as the situation requires.
So, I'm still not cool with Victor's new "romance." It's an gross line to cross. And "Lily" is so naive and childlike, I find it to be uncomfortable watching that relationship.
Dorian's interest is not that inexplicable - he's thrown a party for his current interest, getting her into society. Along comes a woman…
Jorah! You're a knight - corps-a-corps with that little rapier eel. Jeez.
Yep. I'm not an audible television watcher, but that scene me had me audibly going, "Jesus Christ, Game of Thrones!"
Evelyn with Sir Malcolm poppet: How did you like Miss Ives' dance, Sir Malcom? Well, it was alright - a little wooden. Yuk Yuk Yuk!
You didn't find her to be completely endearing, with a forthrightness that made you ache for the way a society could be?
I know I'm supposed to be stoked that Karen stood up for herself and killed him, but I actually enjoyed Wesley as a character and I'm sad that he's gone. Karen's character thus far is such a cherub that sometimes I wish she really would just move out of the city and go live in the country with some lovely baby goats.
I was surprised to be disappointed in the male characters tonight. Not Dorian - I like the reviewer's description of "special episode" treatment. I'm curious if Angelique is going to be a tool for the witches somehow. But Victor having sex with his corpse creation, and Sir Malcolm just being so thoroughly bamboozled.…
B+ ?
This one had me chuckling a lot more than last week's episode. The sight gags were funnier, the street segments meshed well with the skits. I loved how direct she was at saying no to Vlad, before just going with her new marriage.
That one cracked me up, because it was so well-timed!
It's almost as though there is no way to please everyone…
You know what could be a fun twist?
I hit that stop point in Arkham City about a month ago. Just stopped playing and haven't picked it up since. It's not a bad game at all, but I'm just…done. At least for now.
I think they sometimes confuse "huge and epic" with "check-boxes."
