“C’MON! IT’S F*CKING 2019, LET THIS NIGHTMARE END.”
“C’MON! IT’S F*CKING 2019, LET THIS NIGHTMARE END.”
I disagree with several of these.
And Young Justice.
While the Doom Patrol characters do angst about their problems a lot, they do go on adventures, and even though they don’t want to be superheroes, they still save people and actually get shit done. And the show isn’t overly serious and try-hard edgy (even though Cliff swears a lot). Titans feels like it was written by…
Superhero films have changed and evolved so much, and for whatever reason, FOX just consistently refused to adapt. They refused to get with the times, and they’re still making movies that would have been passable in the early 2000s, but not today.
Hell, even Apocalypse is something that would take multiple movies worth of build-up. In the comics, Apocalypse is a Thanos-level threat. There was even an entire long-running storyline in the 90s about an alternate universe where he took over the world (Age of Apocalypse). Apocalypse is a big enough threat to be the…
The fact they gave this Dark Phoenix adaptation to the exact same guy who ruined the last Dark Phoenix adaptation is just brain-breakingly stupid to me (and the fact he also wrote Apocalypse makes it even more so). Like guys, what the hell are you even doing at this point? You deserve to lose the rights to X-Men becaus…
So they fucked up Dark Phoenix again, basically.
Dude, Titans pissed me off. So much potential, and they utterly wasted it. Instead of the show we were promised (a series based on the Teen Titans comics), we got a slow, meandering, dour, joyless, gray-toned slog, where the characters barely resemble themselves (in personality nor appearance), and spend the whole…
The Hobbit movies definitely.
I pray there’s never a direct sequel.
I don’t think so, just because it’s been decades since we’ve gotten a proper, legit Superman film on screen. After so much Batman, the guy deserves his due. He doesn’t have his equivalent of the Nolan trilogy yet (in terms of having his own definitive film trilogy).
Shit, do they got that Aaron McGruder money?
Gonna need a heavy dose of on the nose racism and mean spirited-ness to get that.
Damn it!
Exactly! Psylocke didn’t say anything really.
Excuse me? I wouldn’t say better. White performers just kind of took over.
I think Rock music is one of the biggest and most successful acts of cultural appropriation in history. Rock music was ours. We created it. And they stole it from us. To the point that now, most black people consider rock music to be “a white thing”, even though it really isn’t. It’s beyond fucked.
I’m saying, they tried to introduce Darkseid in the Justice League movie, and it didn’t pan out. Even in the animated Justice League: War, it felt tacked on. A character like that needs proper set up. Or at the very least, proper development.
Not only does this sound promising, but I’m thinking THIS is how they’ll get to Darkseid. This feels more natural.
