Wish I could star this 1000000 times. As a former Girl Scout I say keep GSA and BSA separate forever. I truly believe that girls and young women need an all female space to develop crucial life skills. They need a chance to learn about leadership and STEM without being talked over or pushed out by boys.

My troop in NorCal was never super outdoorsy (this was the early to mid 2000's) so I guess I never expected that component. I love their new STEM and leadership curriculum though. I think the GS experience really depends on the troop leader.

I think we will just have to agree to disagree. I personally think the costume in question is much worse than the ones above and does diverge from “normal” dance costumes due in part to the addition of thigh highs

Thank you! I cannot understand why people are defending these costumes. And I hate the “white people do it” argument. Just becasue someone else is doing it doesn’t make it at all okay. It’s like saying if white people let their kids jump off a bridge then black girls should also be allowed to jump off bridges

I think most of those are better than the ones in question. Starting with the last one, the top is cropped to allow bases to catch the flyers waist. The lines are clean and athletic.

Also you say boring I say its a clean collegiate look that allows the necessary athletic movement.
