Sounds like you have your own issues to deal with. I have a African American dad and an Italian mom and I am comfortable with who I am and I won’t let anyone black or white take that away from me.

I’m looking forward to this. I feel like when I discuss mixed race identity I am often talking to people my own age (pretty young) so it will be interesting to hear from an older generation.

Probably. There seem to be a bunch of new rules around cookie selling that make it formulaic and take away any incentive for entrepreneurship.

Those girls are going places lol One troop in my area has gotten smart and started selling in the student center on my campus. I think one of the girls in the troop is the little sister of someone who goes here which is probably where they got the idea.

Think it depends on the region/council. I was a GS in NorCal in the early to mid 2000's and we never did door to door sales. I remember order forms that my parents took to work, calling family members and setting up a booth in from of a grocery store.

Is the 2/9 thing nationwide? There were girl scouts in the campus center at my college last week. I am don’t remember it being so strict when I did it but that was a long time ago so who knows.

Door to Door was phased out in my area before I started selling but even at the tables most of the work was done by the girls.

Luckily for me, this was just before everyone had a smartphone or even a cell phone for some less techy parents so no video or photographic evidence exists! haha

Its great! I’m a while off from having kids but if I have girl I am going to try to avoid all the pink princess crap. Though hopefully we can make some progress in the next decade.
