This is a pretty doucher article.

Season 1 is a great watch, but personally, I feel like they go in the worst possible direction for Season 2, which seems more about normalizing Meyerism than challenging this clear bullshit. But that was just me.

I agree with everything here. By far the weakest episode, for my money, was the flashback survival episode with Luke. If that's where they want to go for a whole season, I'm out.

Or cut out the dumb music entirely.

I would far prefer that to the inevitable Mockingjay bullshit I just feel in my bones is coming.

I get the decision to make it an ongoing TV show, but I can almost guarantee that it will be one of diminishing returns, unlike a 6-to-8 part mini that stuck more to the book. It would have been perfect. And think of all the anger about the final section!

Maybe they shouldn't be writing seven paragraph reviews of half-hour sitcoms primarily concerned with jokes, I don't know.

"They should have never given us uniforms if they didn’t want us to be an army.”

Wow. Hot take, edgelord.

Writers on the show or the AV Club? Because the writing staff on this show gets their most important and best talent, joke writing, ignored almost completely in these reviews that painstakingly explain "comedy" while never discussing the actual comedy within.

Alda News That's Fit To Print!

Ugh

"save for a fumbled attempt at satirizing collegiate activism"

Kinja is anti-discussion. Everything is always pending approval unless the comments were made within a half hour after the story is posted.

Uhhh citation needed on these random claims?

This guy don't like jokes! Hey, I'm a 4th generation joke listener, and these jokes were solid all the way through!

Did they make Lemonade into a verb and essentially redo Peeno Noir but make it different and great? Yes.

Did this season have jokes? Yes.

But banging that girl was crucial to making Medellin happen!

"Regular show."
