Runaway follow-up success's from Borat's "My Wife."

Feig was fully invested in making this movie all about underdog women who are told they can't do things like men and that translated to the marketing. Instead of being funny, they were fake self-righteous. I think if the movie had been actually funny, they could have been as shitty to the dumb "women

Oh, I guarantee the latter far outweighed the former, even if the former is awful hefty and wearing a trillbe.

Or maybe the shitty marketing around the entire film, making it an "us vs. them" thing instead of writing, you know, jokes.

This was a thing?

Man, sure was twenty years ago! #only1996kidsremember

C+

I like how AV Club calls the Ghostbros thing overblown when THEY WERE PART OF THE CROWD ACTING LIKE IT WAS A BIG DEAL.

But you have to remember: just because Eliot is saying these things doesn't mean he's right or that the show or its writers think he's right. He's a character and he's explaining his underlying hangups and motivations, right or wrong.

The "tongue-clicking tone" is only a factor if you believe that the show is trying to tell you that all of Eliot's thoughts are correct and not simply his thoughts. The show is NOT trying to tell you that. Finish the first season and it becomes very clear.

Putting the SICK in SIC(K)ARIO!

It's very different than I thought it would be. It's clearly inspired by The Stand, but takes a wholly different approach.

This loud, obnoxious hack and his Vic Morrow-and-two-children-killing father can go fuck themselves.

I'm not sure how much sarcasm is there. Dunham bashes Trump, the writer of the article enjoyed it enough to write an article about. It may be hyperbole, but it's not sarcasm. I be you're really glad people like me are around to explain these basic concepts of the English language to you.

Get it? Because you're anonymous, you can name call! Or maybe the hyperbolic (not sarcastic) joke was, you know, not funny!

Jokes are hard!

Seeing Sam Humphries on any "best of" list makes me chuckle. Dude couldn't write his way out of his house. And no, I really don't know what I mean there, but it sounds cool, and he's a spectacularly bad writer.

I love that a "B" is a middling episode grade. Oh, A.V. Club, no one likes you.

We're really setting the bar low for what it takes to be "universally beloved," huh? Next she'll say KONY 2012 and then shit will REALLY take off!

Ouch! I bet this 28-year old game is feeling the burn after this ultra-relevant hot take!
