I don’t know that I necessarily agree with your assessment of King overall, but I will say that he writes sex scenes like a Catholic priest writing a shameful anonymous first letter to Penthouse, and he writes black characters like... well, an extremely white guy.

Now that is a different take on King. To me, King’s strength has always been in his characterization - King is a genius at creating memorable, vivid characters that stick with you, even if it’s in a bloated, non-functional novel with a terrible ending.

A search warrant is usually executed before charges are filed, not after. The whole point is to collect evidence that may support charges. And no, nobody has to tell you what charges you might hypothetically be facing until you’re charged, or possibly arrested and/or arraigned.
