I smell some insane-mode lawsuits and stock price tumbling coming up when people collide Tesla’s head on into buses full of children.

Too heavy to be a sports car for enthusiasts, overheats when pushed hard, runs on $40k laptop batteries that will eventually: 1. die completely, refusing to hold a charge like all laptop batteries eventually do, 2. Need to be replaced (holy $). Tesla can say they will replace them all for free, etc. etc. In the end

Yeah...saleen seems like the U.S. people that tried hardest with the S7...but wouldn’t it be cool if a company came out in the U.S. with something classic and special. Like legit competition for porsche/mclaren/ferrari/etc. for both refinement and performance?

I know it’s cool to see cadillacs, corvettes, and mustangs, and camaros in these endurance/sprint gt3 races. But why can’t America make a premium pure beautiful sports car like Ferrari 458, Porsche 911, Aston Vantage, etc. ? Why do we always have to be known as the “also rans” when it comes to taste/style?

For those advocating a return to really cool NA engines, different Aero, electronics, etc. to make it a more analog experience, something that introduces more driver skill differences. I read an article stating that these boring hybrid engines and all the current aero/electronics are a result of big manufacturers (Ie.

Bringing a heavily modified (yes, seriously) 991 GT3 to an HPDE sporting full racing garb, walk up to and proceed to tell everyone you need to grid first because you are faster than all of us.

I hate to say it, but NASCAR is the WWE of motorsports.

Yeah I guess I could see that but it’s kind of old. Alot of the people in Nascar are an absolute freak show; she is just 1 clown in the crowd to me.

Come to read post about danica...

People are missing the point...it’s a hybrid supercar we haven’t had yet in this price range. The BMW I8 just isn’t a fast sportscar, nor is the I3 obviously. The NSX is like a 10th of the cost of P1, laferrari, etc. That is just awesome. If they make it easy to tune, even better. People may not modify P1s,

The 997.2 carerra and turbo share the DFI engine...it's basically slightly modified for the turbo application. Only the 997.1 is the mezger gt1 derived engine. Dry sump vs partial dry sump. One known for high horsepower builds, the other not so much. Kind of a big difference and it is shared by carrera and turbo. I

The facelift and dfi engine change is the big change...no need to get so upset haha.

If you read my post more closely you will see that I addressed carrera and not turbo. Yes, I understand the differences between the 911 variants.

997.1 carrera models (not turbo) had a non dfi engine with a known defect (ims bearing). The 997.2 was the facelift that occurred for 2009. With it came a host of improvements, the biggest one being the 9a1 motor with DFI and more horsepower. It's the same engine being used in the new 991.

I love all Porsches. Why would you not like a cayenne over the other boring SUVs out there ? Not to mention without the cayenne there would be no gt3rs, gt4, etc. because it might just not be cost effective. What I would like to see is a comprehensive track warrantee like was offered with the Camaro zl1 and some other

I mean I joined the Army and deployed to Afghanistan, and I track my car so I take bigger risks now than I did then when I was a kid. Just saying, paintball community cares because it affects them monetarily. Even if you don’t realize it. Sport has basically died as a result of the economic recession and risks

Also depends on if the parking lot was full or not. If it is never full, then the guy with the truck is equal levels of douche for even caring enough to try and prove some point. Next time just laugh and move on with your life and maybe you will not have to deal with police and a new mirror.

Likely because it was incredibly unsafe. I have seen lack of safety involved in paintball:

As someone who has played Paintball at a national tournament level and worked at/ran a field for about 5 years, that was not even on the verge of safety.

It isn’t really observant to be like “look these two things are very different in the way they were conceived, put to market, and enjoyed by enthusiasts, but man they’re the same because they both outperformed their rivals with a different style!” No. Gtr is a robot car, built to be an easy robot car. It was no
