My office gets food deliver by Save On Foods. They are notorious for swapping in stuff which has kind of pissed some of the staff of. The most recent one was they swapped in so knock off sriracha which tasted terrible. We are probably going to look at another option because their customer service tried to play it off

I enter my hours into a spreadsheet that auto calculates everything. So far, I’ve only caught like 4 or 5 mistakes over the last decade, but it does give me a little peace of mind.

I find reading before bed helps or putting my tablet on night mode then putting on a show on netflix that isn’t loud and I’ve seen before.

Is there anyone who hasn’t had at least 1 person that they knew back in college or highschool reach out to them to reconnect but turn out to be for MLM crap?

I ran into my high school’s valedictorian in a N.A meeting about 10 years ago. She’d gotten injured in a car accident in the 3rd year of her Ph’D by her bf at the who was twice the legal limit for blood alcohol. Developed a severe pill addiction and ended up on the street for like 4 years selling her body. Her family

Take the upvote, you filthy animal.

Who keeps a sack of doorknobs around? At work, we just have a nice, heavy chain.

I would be so tempted to bring you something horrific because it would be kind of funny and evil.

Pretty much. I doubt that many servers eat regular meals where they work. Their favorite meal is the one that they (A) won’t get sick of and (B) won’t be gross when they get to finish it over half an hour of getting constant pop refills for the 9 year old at table 6.

But pushing a specific dish just because they ordered too much of ____ is a little disingenuous.

indicative of a lot of shit that’s less admirable about Japanese culture.

Though, how clean the schools get is kind of reflective of the level of the school. The higher level schools (academically speaking) tend to be pretty spotless as they expect more involvement from their students. The schools that are just kids wrapping of their public school education tend to be not as well cared for,

The overall lack of litter in Japan is amazing. Here, you see little bits of trash everywhere. Drive out to the middle of nowhere here and you’ll find a piece of trash within 10 feet of where you stop.

I’ve been to Japan twice. When people ask me about my time there, at some point in the conversation I will talk about how nice and clean the toilets are. The first time, when I got back to Canada and went to use the washrooms in the airport, the floor was sticky as if someone had used corn syrup to mop the floors.

I actually like shredded wheat. Now, any cereal with marshmallows in them are truly disgusting. I never had those types until I was an adult and it horrifies me, the horrible texture and cloyingly sweet taste of stuff like Lucky Charms.

I remember those mini cereal packs. We’d get them on trips and I’d be the kid that actually wanted the plain cereals.

I get Nature’s Path Kamut flakes and those stay crispy pretty well. To me, cereal is just something to consume in the morning. During the week, I probably barely even taste my breakfast, it just happens.

I swear Honey Nut Cheerios have gotten a lot sweeter in the last 40 years. I now mix them 1 part to 3 parts regular cheerios.

I was raised on Muffets and oatmeal. I also didn’t get store bought cookies except at friend’s houses.
