This is evidenced by the Massive quantity of base model lease returns with limited options.

To top that off, a majority is of those are base models without the options so many people (read enthusiasts) desire.

Except the M5 has no maintenance costs for the duration of the warranty, so the Taycan might costs more to maintain, simply because Porsche likely has some form of regular maintenance, and Porsche does not make their maintenance free.

Fun thing with Porsche: the fancy suspension options make the ride comfier, tighter, and less bouncy. I am a fan of at least PASM, which is just dynamic active dampers, with selectable modes.

Just saw my first one in person on the interstate today. Passed it once I realized it was not a trooper, then chuckled when I saw the yellow splitter shipping guards in the rear view.

Yes. My dad had one, purchased a new 1994 B4000. Even having to transfer it in from a dealer quite a distance away, they still came in much cheaper than the Ford dealer.

It seems overpriced though. It is missing the majority of options that anyone wants. It has the $3k+ stereo option, but that is close to the only options you can see. It does not have any fun suspension stuff; it does not have sport chrono.

This Cayenne has no suspension stuff, it is just a steel-sprung regular dampener, suspension. No air, no active dampers, nada. This one is just way overpriced.

It seems like you still are not catching the key differentiator: the Hyundai is an entire vehicle class different. The Hyundai you compare to is in the size class of the smaller Lincoln SUV, the Lincoln Aviator. Capability, materials, and experience, are all very different.

You seem to be correct, based on the Wikipedia entry.  I had hopes there was some almost-series branding identifier, but I guess they are sticking with the whole-hog dumbification.

Remember, Toyota did it first, with the first generation of Scion products. They thought it was cooler to not have knobs, so they used buttons. Horrible having to hold down a volume button to lower volume. No satisfaction.

Based on the graphic, I felt like hope was restored: they are not calling this a CT4-V, they are calling it a “CT-4 V-Series”. Much more in line with what it is, an M235i, M340i, etc., competitor.

I feel like Lexus heard you, with the recent LC side pod things.

So list it in a marketplace with more visibility. Heck, that could have been a Being a Trailer candidate. Your friend really could have made more money. At this point, it seems you are defending your own advice maybe.

As a previous owner of a Montreal Blue 1997 Z3, I can attest to the wonder that is driving the 1.9, with the 5-speed. That was the odd thing about the first years of the Z3: they were all practically base models. The options were air conditioning and heated seats. Bigger engines, M versions, etc., were not a thing for

You forgot the sarcasm tag. Otherwise, yikes. Rolls is a BMW Group brand, so no.

What if they strictly defecate, without urinating?

When did Porsche get a reputation for unreliability?

Based on comments thus far, there seems to have been an American vs. Asian vs. German, debate at some point, and only recently have some of them conceded.

No. You used the phrase, I just clarified that the original poster’s use was not at the limit. .
