It’s understandable to be disappointed and angry at having to cancel a big, expensive event, but honestly, it’s not February. COVID has been in the headlines for effin’ months, and there is nothing short of actual life and death situations that has to be done right now.

I live in an area that had little to no active cases, then someone decided to start having parties and weddings (with out of state folks who didn’t quarantine upon arrival). Now we are almost back to shutting shit down.

This. I’m currently engaged. Have been for six months and have no desire to kill my remaining grandparents so it’s not a thought until at least this time 2021, depending on the vaccine and the death count.

I live in a country with close to zero coronavirus cases, and I still ask the same question. Given all the restrictions, why not just do the legal side and have a celebration in a year when everyone has been vaccinated (we hope)?
