King Salman, is that you?

Oops, my mistake.

This is not my experience with MJ. A good friend of mine made too much money selling online supplements (I told him he was an idiot when I went to college and he went to try this venture). He lives in Charlotte and shares a building with MJ. Actually, my friend and Cam Newton split the two floors below MJ’s spot (and

Ah, Europe. That great bastion of enlightenment. I see someone is well traveled.

Serious question (because I know most religious questioning is trolling), but do you actually believe in Jesus as Christ or just like the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth?

So did your alma mater donate the money it was going to bid then instead?

I’ve had all kinds of bad Uber drivers. The wreckless ones I can handle, but those drivers going 5 under the speed limit for an entire trip out to an airport or back...

Conservatives shouldn’t really be against market evolution and increased business efficiency (no one should when it’s done right). Increased automation and paying less workers is exactly what the GOP leadership wants even if it isn’t ultimately good for their base.

This is like Donald Trump’s taco truck on every corner comment. Muslim women whipping around in AMG minivans sounds epic.

Yeah, the problem really does exist across social strata. It is a shame there isn’t more of a push for mental health reform since the problem touches everyone. I am from a fairly affluent family and are politically involved enough that I have my governor’s private cell number (meaningless except to emphasize the

Don’t bury hate. Resist and refute it. But don’t erase it.

As a white concealed carry holder, I’m disgusted. So sad for this man who never did anything deserving of his fate. I’m not surprised (as this article alludes to) but still so disappointed that I never saw any other gun owners or the NRA or anyone stand up for this guy. I mean, the government shooting you for your

I would have known either unless it was tagged. You have to feel for the one sister you DID know it wasn’t though.

A geographic indicator is a completely different concept. An American Navajo can move to the Champagne region of France today and start churning out as much as they want. Not that only French people can make the beverage. Either you’re uninformed or being disingenuous to equate the two.

Any individual person’s interests (indigenous or not) SHOULD be less important than the overarching philosophical issue, yes. That should be a pretty simple concept. Society at large is more important than the individual - and it should be.

So you’re admitting the entire cultural appropriation argument is actually just a strawman? Is this supposed to get more people to support the idea? I mean, I appreciate the candor, but it isn’t unexpected then when others push back against the concept of it is truly as base as “you got yours, now I want mine.”

The problem with that strain of thought is that in order to get future benefits for hypothetical members the current members would have to give up actual concessions. It’s a lot to ask someone who will only have leverage for a few years to waste that bargaining power on fighting for someone else’s concerns.

This is a great achievement! A (largely black) poor, rural county in my state also had the same thing happen. I’m so glad to see these things aren’t isolated incidents.

Yeah, I agree with that. I would have assumed it already happens that way. In the US, generally native families or groups are given preference over non-indigenous for kids. I think it’s always helpful to maintain a cultural bond if possible.

My sister is a child psychologist (specializing in PCIT) and she works at a research institution locally. Almost all of their clients are in poverty and it’s so heartbreaking to see some of the horrendous things those young kids have already gone through. She even volunteers to serve on the child death review board
