Happening mid-flight AND the guy was in the window seat, with the dog in the middle seat. There was no way for either the man or the dog to get out of that situation.

It’s downright cruel to do that to a dog that size. It would be hurting, since it’s not like your legs would be comfortable to sit on for who knows how long. Plus, it’s cramped and stressed in those conditions, as well as hot, and dealing with new noises and smells.
