Have any of you guys watched Outlander? The wife of a friend of mine wants to watch it, and I sold it to him as having battles and “manly stuff” that he’d enjoy, too. After watching the first episode, though, he says it’s a chick show. Thoughts?

I’m taking my mom to Vegas for her 70th birthday next month. For the evenings, I’m taking her to see Elton John and a Cirque du Soleil thing. Is there anything in Vegas that we should absolutely go see? I’ve never been there. I’m not a gambler, so that isn’t my thing. Anywhere we should try to get reservations to eat?

Thanks. It happened when I was too young to remember, but the story came up often enough that it’s burned into my brain. I’ve since always been terrified someone would hurt our family dogs, to the point of paranoia.

Yes, this. Unrelated to this event, I hate it when people just shrug off BB guns like they’re nothing. They can do serious physical harm, yet people buy their kids BB guns so they can take them off shooting at birds or whatever. How is that okay? If it’s more dangerous than a nerf ball, it’s not okay for kids, people.…

I did make him wear hats for several holidays. :o) He hated it. lol. But he always got something yummy for dinner. That face is also just the one he’d make any time I pulled out the camera. Such a photogenic gentleman, but was NOT into the picture taking.

Yeah, that’s generally the face he gave me when I took photos. (He passed away three weeks ago today. Which I suppose is part of why I feel the need to foist his photo on everyone. MY DOG. LOOK AT MY DOG, WHOM I MISS DESPERATELY.) But not a happy camper having his photo taken. Even without holiday hats.
