The population of the state is heavily Democratic, but the legislative districts don’t reflect that.

It’s unlikely to be any sort of tie or near tie at this point, but if it were you have the added wrinkle of Ruth Bader Ginsberg speaking publicly about her disdain for Donald.

People think the past was better because of survivor bias. It’s like how clothes used to be made better and houses in the past were sturdier. The only ones that endure are the ones that are well-made.

I now really want to see a movie where Nic Cage plays the Joker.

The police probably aren’t going to come, and they’re not as likely to treat you as a threat if they interact with you.

Not to mention clothing. I can’t even imagine how popular these hoodies would have been if they were mass produced to be in the $25-$40 range.

Is Gawker still fighting against paying minimum wage and overtime for its employees?

They really just wanted her to die so Thomas Shelby could bang a hot new Russian femme fatale without us disliking him too much for doing it.

Women in the show are horribly mistreated by the plot.

Computers were associated with being made in Japan, was my assumption.

‘If the U.S. somehow beats Argentina ... it will be arguably the biggest win in American men’s soccer history.’

Telling me to essentially ‘suck it up you’ll get over it’ would be completely unfair and that would be the insulting part. What’s next? Batman has to be Latino? Iron man has to be transsexual? Spider-man has to be gay?

I have no problem with them fleshing out backstory, The Mr. Freeze thing to my knowledge before he didn’t really have much of a real backstory so that wasn’t so much a change as it was filling in to make him more sympathetic.

It’s not going to be rolling fields of wheat or corn to the horizon, and it might be a smaller plot of land all together, but that would be more reflective of actual small

I just read the synopsis and watched some YouTube clips.

I revised and fleshed out the previous comment into a Kinja post, but I didn’t really find space to address Icon or the Dakotaverse.

For Icon in particular, he is a Superman pastiche in powers and how he arrived on earth, but the character seems to be totally different by virtue of being 150 years old and having a kind

The concept of ‘Batman as a black man’ is a simple one, and surely there can’t be that many white supremacist organizations to knock around full time. But in contrast to alt-right criticism, the fairness of having heroes who are people of color seems way down the list of advantages it offers.

Joffrey was an example of a realistic sociopath, tyrant, and sadist.

Rather than re-making Starship Troopers, it would make a lot more sense to just make The Forever War by Joe Haldeman. It’s essentially taking Heinlein’s view at face value but subjecting it to the viewpoint of someone who has fought and been injured in war.

Taran Wanderer is the only one I’ve really enjoyed re-reading. The others are good, fun, high-fantasy, but that one is about growing up and letting go of childhood fantasies to attain adult realities.
