I'm sorry but I'd have to agree with some of the previous comments. Remembering to drop all my e's would actually take more time and effort than to simply write it, just because it goes against my natural writing.

Tons of classes have notes that can't be typed on a keyboard. Engineering classes have a slew of diagrams and equations that need to be recorded and you just aren't going to be able to type (let alone somehow draw) those in a quick manner.
