That scenario is completely different than a guy putting his car into a tree on his own property. That's a domestic dispute so of course it got ugly and got the police involved.

That's not true at all, it's pretty easy to dial up the police station and say "Hey, I think your officer flubbed the order of the vehicles" and ask them (POLITELY) to correct it.

What does that even mean? They can't just fabricate how the crash happened. Presumably you would take pictures of your crash scene as documentation for your insurance company. "Driver 1" and "Driver 2" make no difference as long as it reflects X crashed into the rear of Y, and that is what happened. If the report said…
