Mark Twain quote: if you tell the truth you don’t have to remember anything.”

For our wedding we told the cake maker we wanted plumerias on it. Not sure if they didnt write it down right or didnt know what those were but we got a cake with poinsettias. We had a September wedding so it looked off for sure. The cake still tasted great though and its a fun story for when we go through the photo

Well the Porsche Taycan Turbo S which is the one they always compare to the Model S starts at double the cost of the Model S Performance (185K vs 90K). The base Taycan Starts at 104K to Teslas 70K.  So yeah I guess kudos to Porsche for making a better in some aspects car for 45%-100% more the cost.

These commercials were peak 90s advertising.

I really like this.  Its a good way to showcase the problem without being preachy about it.  Darn near everyone would stop and look at a display of colorful popsciles and looking close will certainly bring questions and concerns.

I dont live in hurricane country but I do live in Earthquake country.  I hvae a bunch of the typical beans and rice stuff in the pantry but I also have a weeks worth of dehydrated meals for the whole family.  Lots of water storage too to make sure we can actually cook them.  A small camp stove and a few mini propane

Well youve just added something to my bucketlist. A Chick Fil A spicy chicken biscuit would be amazing.

Almost in time for my birthday. I will certainly try these but the McNugget with sweet and sour sauce is already so close to perfection I’m not sure they needed a spicy version.

I seem to remember that there’s a place that runs a knockoff original McDonalds menu. I believe it was started by a guy who McDonalds wouldn’t let have a franchise so he got a job at one and ripped off all the recipes. They havent changed them since including the beef fries.  I cant seem to find a link though. Wonder

I remember that switch and I too wish they could do a throwback nugget but I dont think it would ever happen.

Now playing

McNuggets arent made of pink slime. Theres literally a factory tour video on Youtube. Its white meat chicken, fat and skin. They made it with the Mythbusters guy (RIP)

I can see that being worth it if I can order a spicy chicken patty

So I managed to track some down this last weekend. I decided that for a first go I would do it over rice with whatever seasoning packet come with it. I made a fresh batch of rice and then gave the natto a 20 sec hit in the microwave to warm up a bit. I frothed the hell out of it and then added the little tare packet.

My favorite non homemade mac and cheese is Trader Joes frozen.  For Kraft stuff I prefer Velveta shells and cheese.  I have been searching for the Cheetos kind but have come up empty handed so far.

Yeah they came up in a few google searches I just ran. I think little Tokyo is probably the closest so I might check it out this weekend.

The closest to me is a 99 ranch and sadly they don’t seem to carry it. I did some more googling and found a few places worth trying. I may take a drive this weekend.

Sauvignon blanc is the always great answer to white wine. It drinks well and cooks the best.

Ive been trying to find natto for a few years now without success. Anyone know where I can pick up some in Los Angeles area? Ive also been on a huge egg on rice kick for breakfasts and figure natto is the natural progression.

My Aunt and Uncle had a basement bar. Its where I learned to tilt the gas when getting beers for the grownups at the get together’s.

Smell is the number one indicator. I use it or freeze it as fast as I can but we shop once a week so chicken may be in the fridge for up to 5 days or so.
