The irony of a charcuterie board being too fancy is hilarious given its literally a bunch of meats cured so they don’t go rancid.

I think the bigger concern is that coffee is used in America mainly as a caffeine source. Most coffee is used to stave off lack of rest and a morning crutch so its not really anything a child should concern themselves with. Also lets face it coffee isn’t that amenable to a child’s palate without copious amounts of…
This is the correct take.
I would love a 2 pound crunchy taco. But in general lots of small foods can be way cool. Tapas and sushi have perfected the small bite model.
Im going to take this time to rant about “fun” sized candy bars. They all suck compared to full size because the chocolate to good stuff ration is wrong on them all. There’s too much chocolate introduced when they downsize and still have to coat the thing in chocolate.
Cereal always seems like a good idea until I finish it and am never satisfied. Its the pinnacle of wasted calories for me.
I have a pretty good assortment of known recipes to cycle through. I also make use of a lot of Allison recipes here on the weekends or search the other food blogs I like. I can generally find new stuff. We probably eat at least 2 to 3 new to us dishes per month.
Seriously impressive. The way pro swimmers movements are so efficient astounds me. Shes going at a very relaxed pace and would swim circles around my best flailing attempts.
Probably but we use a lot of raw onion for tacos and stuff too so it was better to just goodbye to them.
I think its more in line with people cooking themselves more and then turning to fast food as a break from the effort.
I have always loved pumpkin pie. It was part of the reason that Thanksgiving was my favorite holiday even growing up. Pumpkin spice is really the only fall thing I still get living in CA so I’m all for it.
I used the pandemic to stop getting 4 dollar starbucks drinks and Im going to do my best to keep it that way. Pumpkin Spice season is indeed great but Im going to try to avoid it at Starbucks this time.
Sorry to hear that. I haven’t felt anything but we didn’t have any red onions and we probably got a bit lucky. It wasn’t real clear what week the onions were sent out so we threw out everything. Imperfect has been sending out these huge things that last 3 or 4 meals to get through so that probably helped out as well.
Twinkies were a huge disappointment to my adult self. I remembered them fondly but last time I had one it was crap. I’m always tempted by the special edition ones but talk myself out of it.
We threw out a bunch this weekend. We got notice about this from Imperfect Produce. We don’t usually get red onions but the notice said it may have transferred to the sweet and yellows as well so we got rid of our stash. The nice part is that they said they will refund everyone for onions ordered in the recall window.
I’m in SoCal so the porcinis would be a NorCal hiking vacation type thing. I am working on maybe getting a hunting license to trim the rabbit population around me though and get some good eats along the way.
I’m assuming you took the time to escape LA when the pandemic hit. Good for you.
Get some flank steak, onions, and peppers and use the summer squash in a beef stir fry over rice.
I entered a whole new world when I started buying good rice and using a rice cooker. I usually start the rice and get all the other stuff ready while it cooks and then just add the rice and throw it all in the fridge. (2) rice cooker cups gets me a weeks worth.
I cook rice for every lunch of mine which is 58 min on the rice cooker so I’m already right there with you.
