Could Curb ever end with anything other than Larry accidentally killing himself? I think the suspense is in just seeing how it finally happens.

“Starred” is generous and probably how he would classify it himself.
Adrien Brody seems like one of the worst possible castings for an action hero. But he wound up being decent, though he’s certainly no Arnie.
Yep. Like Pixar movies are complicated but for the most part can be summed up in a sentence or two.
I was confused by this review thinking I’d seen the trailer before Thor, but then remembered there was a farmer or something and it seemed very off-Broadway Suessian. I think it was this movie:
The telltale sign of a bad Pixar ripoff is that they always use their “high concepts” not to explore various intriguing ideas but just to go “hey what if this intangible thing had its own bureaucracy”
I saw the trailer in front of Thor and it was... just kind of odd. It felt like a weak concept, the sort of thing you would expect from a C-tier animation studio. I legitimately thought to myself “Well I guess we don’t have to worry about Lasseter staging a comeback anytime soon.”
Sounds more like a game design pitch than a movie.
It’s a spinoff of both, technically. Both feature Joel Kinnaman’s character and both are in the continuity. One is just utter, utter shit.
Apples and oranges. I don’t know any men who have been castrated. I know far too many women who have been sexually assaulted. Castration is not a common problem across the globe, sexual assault is.
To summarise what’s already been said in the comments, James, remember when you had a job directing Guardians of the Galaxy 3 but then you suddenly didn’t for a bit there?
If these movies were successful, they never would have let this happen.
You’re absolutely right, but at the end of the day WB had an almost finished superhero film starring a woman of color and they canceled it. There is no context where that changes.
They cancelled “Chad” literally on the premiere date of its 2nd season. Unless Gunn has some type of fancy and sparkled legal document saying he gets a 2nd season that will air, I wouldn’t trust a single thing Discovery told me.
I’m sure Batgirl’s directors thought it was safe too.
“champing at the bit.”
It’s the same answer - they likely get some tax benefit by claiming that the movies weren’t producing value as they expected and proving it by taking them off of their library.
I don’t know - maybe because they were upset by the news and just wrote out a quick message without thinking about if it was perfectly worded?
I thought it was just supposed to be some sort of a joke when they moved Loki from Friday to Wednesday, and not that they would exclusively air all new shows on Wednesday from then on.
Pretty sure you didn’t mean Victor Hugo.
