To be fair, he was just establishing himself with that show. I imagine he would have taken any show they offered him at that point.

We need a movement to persuade Jon Stewart to step down. It’s clear he is no longer fit for the job. His memory is clearly failing him if he doesn’t remember  this:

Just watch The Other Two.  It was a good show.

That reminds me, I need to rewatch The Five Year Engagement.

Now playing

The whole thing is an ode to both Cameron and Arnie transferring seamlessly from 80s action to 90s action. If it were an 80s movie, the Uzi (MAC-10, if we’re being accurate - you know, the Uzi’s skeevier, Georgia cousin) would’ve been played off a sincere and straight-up badass. In True Lies they lean into the

It’s honestly not that bad. I’ve wasted my time on worse shows; it’s a fine bit of dumb fun. My biggest obstacle is that Harry is played by Steve Howey, better known as Van from Reba (a character so dumb that if he were a real person, he’d have a full-time caregiver because he’d be legitimately retarded). It was hard

I could probably spend an entire day trying and failing to come up with a more stomach-turning way to compliment a woman’s posterior. Though it makes very little sense - when has anyone ever heard a guy say something nice about a woman’s body by comparing it to that of a child or the opposite sex?

You said it yourself, it doesn’t justify his approach. The misogyny is that it tries to justify spousal abuse because it make him a better man. Just because she’s willing to go on a mission doesn’t mean she consents to her husband lying, manipulating, and attempting to sexually demean her.

Sean Baker is one of the best American filmmakers out there now, and this looks like another winner. I’m in.

The younger kids were playing close to their real ages so they are a bit older then what they are suppose to be now(Basically 20 years olds playing 16 or 17).  The older teens were in their 20s already so now some of them are pushing 30 and it kinda shows

You do kinda think there’s a certain limit, as goofy the movie is, for the cartoon stuff, but then Charlton Heston rocks up as their boss and he’s got a goddamn eyepatch, and a healthy apetite for the scenery.

I saw True Lies late—whenever it originally came out on home video—and was pretty startled by how the movie treats Curtis’s character, compared to the fun reputation the movie had. The strip scene may scan as empowering and funny to some, but she’s manipulated into it by her own husband, and not just to “give her

Da briddgggeeeer iss ouuuuttttt

“’OO EEZ ZIS SHEET FOR? ‘AR-RY?” is the line that sticks in my mind.

I’ve been locked out of my original account for a while now. One day we’ll crack it!

Hrm. Might be a little of column A and B here. Cuz like I said, this review is pretty consistent with others I’ve read. Like how much can you inform the reader about a doc whose core weakness is that it doesn’t give anyone new information? I’ve read a few of those Cannes reviews and yeah, that approach does seem

I actually sat down and watched I Love You Daddy. For a while after the scandal, it wasn’t hard to find online.

It’s seriously one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen, even putting aside the content. It’s incompetently directed and edited. You can see the boom mic or limits of the set in so many shots.

But the story kind

Wow, this looks terrible.

Yes, definitely what the MCU needs right now. As if the culture war rhetoric wasn’t dense enough, we’re now going to throw Israel into the mix?

Amen on the marketing. Without broadcast TV ads or newspaper listings, there’s virtually no way to find out about a movie by accident. We only learn about the stuff that’s already targeted to us based on our previous clicks. I found it particularly aggravating last year that, even after the Academy Awards, my fellow
