i’ve noticed any time i got to a rep screening it’s FULL of young people. when i went to apocalypse now recently half the crowd raised their hand when the MC asked who was seeing it for the first time.

definitely the weakest season of the 3 so far, but still very enjoyable tv for my money (the same amount i was paying for the service anyway).

i’d even go as far as saying that advance ticket sales/pre-selected seats fucked theatres even before that.

as a non-horror guy i loved in a violent nature, but at the same time it felt very much like a horror movie for non-horror guys.

That would be the Sing series, which tries to turn the studio’s basic-ass music taste into some kind of guiding principle of insincere uplift, all while inching them closer to the platonic ideal of that 100-minute dance-party ending.”

uh i mean i’m just going by real people i’ve had real conversations with. a lot of people just found the movie overall quite corny. i personally found the corniness to be an asset.

thanks for reminding me that show exists again. apparently they’re only halfway done production?! i get there were strikes but shit.

seems that there was a lot of different marketing attempts. i definitely saw a movie being advertised as a romcom two-hander with channing and scarlett.

i liked it too but most mcu fans seem to fucking hate it.

the only thing funnier than bringing back the guy from inhumans was the way they dispatched him.

agreed! people forget that reviews themself are an artform, too.

seeing a lot of the early screenings in my town (toronto) completely sold out already. i’m going on tuesday, really looking forward to it. i think this movie had some of the best recent marketing, too.

i believe he also has some kind of cheesesteak truck in new york.

i really don’t think the marketing machines know how to market movies that aren’t horror anymore.

maybe ‘hoped it would be good’ but i definitely didn’t expect it.

i think it’ll be good and i’ll happily sit down and watch it, but man the scheduling and timing of these things really zaps my enthusiasm.

i’d like them to stop using pop music from the 80s.

i’ve seen way more people complaining about the complaint than making the initial point.

first season of what if i actually enjoyed quite a bit, second season was a genuine slog.

this will unite trump’s america.
