i wouldn’t even necessarily be opposed to a modern spinoff/soft remake. might be interesting to see a toy story with a modern kid, and they have to contend with an evil ipad or fucking whatever.

i do love living in a world where poor things made 117 million dollars worldwide.
i mean if the material isn’t connecting with people the material isn’t connecting with people. you can only throw 200 million dollars at the wall so many times before the guy writing the cheques asks about it.
i think they’ve always done a good balancing act of bringing people back while sliding in newcomers. after two banger villains i just think this new guy was a dud.
he’s bringing up new stuff here, too. he was talking about how he couldn’t make seinfeld today because of woke or whatever, now he’s saying he wants masculine people (like hugh grant?!) back.
they’re not even calling the next one ‘part 2' anymore so who’s to say.
the new one is approaching 400 million dollars. feels like cruise is burning down paramount before jumping ship to warner bros.
renner’s been sorely missing from the last two. the more i’ve sat with dead reckoning the less i liked it.
if not this, what?
i don’t think it’s so much ‘a universal trope that audiences are all familiar with’ and just ‘a little jokey reference that some people might pick up on’
the jon watts of it all is a red flag, but this is a great trailer.
he’s 80 years old just let him keep rocking. lord knows the execs are gonna trot out the IP every 4-6 years after he dies anyway.
it’s crazy because i saw him last year and the material was modern and sharp and not at all the ‘old man yells at cloud’ he seems to be unable to avoid when interviewed. baffling.
i’m starting the 5 year clock RIGHT after that one.
boy that ministry of ungentlemanly warfare was dogshit. boy every movie he’s made in the last 5 years has been dogshit*
yeah a system like how movie theatres do it where instead of reselling you get a refund and the ticket just goes back into circulation is probably the cleanest one. sign up for a waiting list and get an email when tickets pop up.
100%. and people game the streamers all the time in music. it’s encouraged by the artists themselves! i’ve seen artists post literal tutorials about specifics like making sure you add it to a playlist and hit repeat on the playlist and not the song so it counts more.
hey i understood that reference!
so how would that work if someone is buying a ticket for someone else? and are you suggesting just removing the secondary market entirely?
honestly the issue is amex presales. having a partcular credit card should not allow you advance access to concert tickets.
