and it’s like that with EVERY concert because they’re just playing it like the stock market. worst case they lose a few hundred bucks on certain shows, but A. they get their air miles points or whatever either way and B. they’re doing it with so many concerts it evens itself out in their eyes.

the main issue is conflating streams with album sales. the barrier to entry is just so much lower! just because someone is streaming something a million times does not mean they’re also going to shell out on a concert, shit it might not even mean they like the artist.
