i dislike all of the prequels but this is the one that is the most watchable because it is so weird and unlike any other movie. qui-gon is one of the strangest protagonists in cinema.

“Millennials who saw the prequels as kids may have some nostalgic attachment to them, but to everyone else they’re just kind of to be ignored.”
i mean they’ve happily thrown hundreds of millions at less. this is still apple at the end of the day. nic cage isn’t cheap anymore and it’s still gonna be a high-profile spider-man project.
i said this over on io9 as well, but this is really giving me ‘oops, we ran out of culture’ vibes.
her whopper bit still rules to this day, but the thing about comedy is you’re only as good as your last joke. to your first point, i just don’t think there’s any way she has any sauce left.
the other two prequels just kind of make me sad because it’s lucas spinning his wheels going ‘this is what you want, right? boba fett is a clone of his own father!’
also feels like they missed the boat. the times of streamers throwing money at stuff like this is long over. i can’t imagine this coming out theatrically.
haha yeah the quote is essentially ‘i had a moment of clarity after working very hard on this project for a few months’
movie still sucks but it’s the only one of the prequels that’s fun to talk about.
i think she just means she was so locked in it took her two months to realize how locked in she had been.
i also assumed this was like, a tiktok trend, so i was pleasantly surprised when i learned it was just ‘a weird new york guy’.
i think he’s literally on vacation in italy right now haha
oh i love new york and i also bet 200 guys get punched before lunch in florida every day.
oh no not award shows.
getting punched in the face before lunch is wild shit.
i don’t think it’s crazy to think that two stars of last year’s biggest movies plus a director with a hit-making track record would produce a hit. plus it’s also a good movie.
aside from the community movie does he even have any upcoming projects? mr and mrs smith doesn’t appear to be getting a second season, he just dropped an album so maybe he’ll tour. this is definitely the least busy he’s been in a decade.
who is the ‘we’ here
i mean, i feel like it’s not that he crossed over, it’s that the uk office isn’t as relevant as it was 20 years ago.
die hard with a vengeance.
