Very on-brand, Josh.

For a good few months I started every single morning with peanut butter and sriracha on toast and I swear by it.

Paldo Bibim Men used to be one of my all-time favourites before I realized that I had all of the ingredients to just make it at home. Those cold spicy noodles absolutely hit the spot!

Worth noting that in addition to poutine, this episode hit all of the stereotypical Canadian “national” foods, i.e.: Nanaimo bars, peameal bacon, and beaver tails. They sampled all four, if I remember correctly.

I was genuinely bummed that they didn’t anything during the bowling date, which across the board felt like a really chill, fun time. It was a delight to see all the contestants actually enjoying themselves.

This might be the best Bachelor feature you’ve put together yet. Absolutely loved the breakdowns of these three horrible women (I think it’s “writing checks her mouth can’t cash) and cannot wait until MJ gets the boot.

So after yesterday there’s no legal way for this musical to ever be viewed again and it’s essentially vaulted, which is concrete proof that Disney doesn’t know what to do with a good thing if that good thing walked up and slapped them in their damn faces.

Had it not been for having to follow the gum’s original three-course meal, I think a nice salad would make the perfect appetizer layer.

Has there ever been a man with even an ounce of artistic talent on The Bachelorette? I thought Brendan might be based on absolutely nothing but aesthetics, but I was wrong.

Two thoughts:

I’m absolutely overjoyed to see Joe receive his dues in both this weekly feature and the Washington Post’s Bach newsletter. Justice for Joe! He has so many blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments of wholesomeness, and his scene with the bibimbap wasn’t that much longer-

I have a good number of these ingredients. I’ll have to try this!

As someone who absolutely loves a thick, should-I-use-a-spoon-or-straw milkshake but NOT what consuming one will do to my insides, this was wonderful to read.

A few things. But who can blame her for skipping the salad? She was stuffed from having her cake and eating it too.”

I listened to an episode of CBC podcast The Fridge Light which went in-depth on how the vast popularity of white meat means that the US actually exports a LOT of what’s produced because there’s just not enough demand for it (with Mexico eating about 1/3). That was done about four years ago now, though, so I don’t know

Couldn’t edit my comment in time, but I also have to throw my vote Dennis’s way. I’m just more into savoury foods so he has it for this draft-

Can I just say how (and with all due respect to the majority of Takeout staff) nice it is to have a POC writer take part in these drafts? Korean potato salad is such an out of left field choice and reminded me how often I’d read these articles and think to myself “wow, can’t believe they misses [insert “ethnic” food

I don’t know if they showed these ads in the States, but this is particularly ironic to me because Canada Dry used to run these TV spots where people were growing natural ginger in a field and pulling the stalks out of the ground only to reveal ice-cold, sweating bottles of ginger ale just hiding beneath the soil-

Now this is the Dennis Lee content that I signed up for-
